The Man Who Discovered That Women Lay Eggs

Fullbeam visualtheatre has developed a show which looks at the interplay of science and culture, the focal point is the discovery of eggs in mammals and mankind by Karl von Baer in 1827. Using a combination of puppets, masks and live action, this show relates the colourful story of how man unravelled the myth of his own origins in 1827. It looks at the ways in which the shifting balance of power between science and culture has shaped our understanding of men and women's biological and social roles throughout history.
