Taking advantage of the latest science and technology is all part of the search for the extra millimetre, or split second that can make the difference between Gold and Silver, or separate victory from defeat. From the track bikes that Team GB rode to glory in Athens to understanding the aerodynamics of a football during a free kick; technology plays an ever increasing role in sport, but what difference does it really make and should we be worried?
